Glen Little

by eddiegrundy » 07 Sep 2013 23:16

Just a Little update on Glen :) . After failing to secure another year at Wrexham, he signed up for Wealdstone of the Ryman Premier League where he seems to have settled in very well. I went to the Bury Town v Wealdstone match today to catch up on him, and he is still playing very good football, and was my man of the match. He seems to have converted himself to a midfielder now, linking defence and attack. He has lost some pace, obviously, but his vision is still excellent and he picks out some nicely weighted telling passes. He nearly lasted the full 90 minutes, being substituted just before the end. He signed a few autographs and chatted for a few minutes with us afterwards. Cheers Glen!

Good to hear it Eddie

Last season warming the bench at Wembley

This season playing in front of just a few hundred, but at least he's still playing

Always liked Glen, always looked out for him in the Non League Paper

It was "Non-League Day" and as part of the celebrations they paraded all of their youth teams at half-time. Community involvement is what it's all about at this level.

The no 9 for Wealdstone was ex Col U and Orient man Scott McGleish and at 39 he is even older than Glen Little.
