Hoop Blah
Ian Royal Christ what a depressive dirge from the studio pundits. You'd think England have been terrible.

Agreed, and it was exactly the same with the Chile game.

Of course it's not been perfect but apart from some weak defending for their goal that first half was more than alright but their analysis is so negative.

ITV have successfully turned Dixon into a shit pundit.

Match opening up and we start to look more dangerous. Lallana more involved as already mentioned. Lets see what Wilshire can do to nail down the lid on the coffin of Cleverley's starting chances.

Sturridge reacts so slowly after his first touch in the box. Frustrating to watch.

Our quality has evaporated since Gerrard went off. Henderson has been a total passenger and Wilshire and Barkley have done very little as well.

Gerrard's place in the heart of the team must be set in stone.

Is anyone else, like me, frustrated by Andy Townsend's 'perfectionist' comments?

Not good enough from Germany.

Despite injury the world's #2 side should be hammering first round fodder like England.

That really was like watching paint dry. You can see that the Germans will do well next summer but they really aren't fun to watch, and the less said about England the better..

Need to play with more tempo. I don't understand our obsession with trying to use the centre backs as the primary playmakers. The number of times we had good possession in the German half only to slow it down to give back to Jagielka to then try and play a 50 yard hollywood pass was really quite depressing.

With the exception of Gerrard, all the other central midfielders gave the ball away numerous times. Players like Cleverley and Jordan Henderson shouldn't get anywhere near the England team, but sadly they're all England have.

The experience of Lampard was missed tonight, and I'm still undecided with Andros Townsend. Not much of an end product.

This will probably be the first World Cup I've not really been interested in. Anyway. Germany. What a team

I feel sorry for the person who has to die tonight based on the German performance.

Well Townsend has secured his place pretty well.

Henderson and Cleverley obviously don't fancy a trip to Brazil.

Barkley needs some more experience in first team football before he's ready. Smalling needs to work on set piece defending.

Looks like my second team have a decent chance for the tournament. What depth.

Ian Royal showing he knows nothing again. Getting way too excited about an England performance where they had no shots on target.

Form is temporary, class is permanent.

Ravel Morrison, James Ward-Prowse, Nathaniel Clyne, Tom Ince, and Will Hughes should be the real winners from the last 7 days. Emphasis on Morrison in particular, who is far and away the most technically gifted English player around atm.
