And I have been to many of them. Incredible really. Played 17, drawn 11. They've also set some record for striking the woodwork, supposedly, but I am not sure if that is entirely true. I have a season ticket for local rivals Greuther Fürth and last year, they became the first team in BL history to go through an entire season without winning a home game (won 4 away) ... and now FCN are obviously trying to outdo them. 3-0 up against Hannover last weekend at half time and it ended up (controversially) 3-3.

Earlier, reigning champions Ajax moved back to the top of the Eredivisie ahead of the winter break - after a dream league debut for teenager Jairo Riedewald.

The 17-year-old defender netted two late goals to clinch a 2-1 comeback win over Roda JC. The Amsterdammers seemed to be heading towards only their fourth defeat of the season with Roda leading through Henk Dijkhuizen's 34th-minute goal.

But Riedewald, who was only introduced in the 80th minute, levelled in the 88th minute before grabbing the winner in time added on.

Valencia close to being taken over by a billionaire from Singapore. Same bloke who tried to buy Liverpool a few years ago apparently.

He says he will wipe out their debt, get the new stadium plans back on track and give them €50M for January transfer funds

Messi back for Barca, comes on with 25 minutes left against Getafe in the Copa del Rey and scores twice. Set up nicely for the league math with Atletico at the weekend

30 years to the day that Maradona came back from a few months out to score 2 goals against Getafe

I like this sort of thing.

Ominously, Messi looked hundred times better in that 25 minutes last night than he has much of the rest of the season. Break did him good. Frightening pace with the ball for his second.

19 year old Domenico Berardi put 4 goals past AC Milan for Sassuolo yesterday to win 4-3

http://www.whoscored.com/Articles/kx1comnno0uthh6fsbrqew/Show/Player-Focus-Berardis-Seamless-Progression-to-Serie-A-Stardom
interesting rise to the top for Berardi who at 15 wasn't playing football for anyone yet on a trip to see his brother at Uni was asked to join in their 5 a side match, someone thought he was good and got in touch with the local team, Sassuolo, who said he could come along for a trial. 3 years later he was their joint top scorer as they won Serie B

Watched most of the Atletico Vs Barcelona game at the weekend. Arda Turan put in a performance as good as any I have seen from any midfielder/winger this season. The boy was quite amazing.

Good article on Sassulo on F365 last week:

And that's an epic win for them over Milan.
