Big Foot
Royal Lady Why all the h8 for Guthrie? He's another matejovsky - too good for the current crop of players around him, hence the way he plays doesn't fit at the moment.

If Norwich think he's good enough to play in the Prem, then we ought to hang onto him, until we know if we will have any money for NEXT season from any possible new owners - if we can buy the type of player that compliments Guthrie and lets him play to his best, we'll do ok.

I will never, ever forgive him for this

Its simple really. Guthrie is a good player but he does not suit our style of play. Some teams play with a high tempo some play the more measured passing style. Guthrie needs to go to a team like that.

Huge LOL, so much hatred for someone you don't know.

Good one.

He's so good that's why Newcastle kept him. Or people bid for him in the summer....

Because he didn't play for your football team, one time. A just cause for letting someone die.

Newcastle offered him a contract which he rejected to get first team football.

Which led him to think he could walk his way into our team and he threw a hissy fit when he realised it wasn't going to be that easy.

Reality is that despite the hype on here about him he has not got the quality to be a regular at Premier League level.

FTR I would not like someone to piss on my when I was on fire. I can't imagine it would put the fire out and would really only compound the misery I felt about my impending death

Yeah, as Amanda Holden said to the midwife, that came out wrong.

I was referring to the fact that folk seem a bit quick to forget they were regularly hailing him our best performer at the start of the season. Likewise, Akpan was a "foot-tard" a few weeks back, now he's "the answer". A few miss-placed passes this weekend and Hope will be re-christened with his hilarious middle name 'Less'.

Big Foot Guthrie is Liam Rosenior MK 2

Over hyped, with a dramatically inflated opinion of himself. I'd rip all my limbs off and crawl to Norwich on my tongue, whilst giving Guthrie a piggyback if it meant the deal could be done for him to finally fuck off.

Your tongue? Luxury! Guthrie lover. I'd bounce to Norwich on my eyeballs.

He's forgiven. He's only young, and he did say sorry to the whole squad after King Brian talked to him.

But that doesn't change him as a person overnight though.

I had a bizarre chat to a non-football fan chap I know from Shropshire who asked if I know of Danny Guthrie as I'm a Reading fan. He went to school with him apparently IIRC and said he was a real tosser. I laughed saying I think he's alright but he did have a bit of an issue when he wasn't selected and he wasn't surprised in the slightest. Apparently totally in keeping with what he was like at school. Ok, so it's unfair to drag one guys opinion of him at school into this, and I probably shouldn't have mentioned it. But it just reminded me of Guthriegate and how damaging it was at the time. I'd much rather see the backs of disruptive players like Guthrie and drenthe (if he's troublesome).
