Sanguine You could have just written 'I like United, I don't like Liverpool.'

Smalling doesn't look like a Premier League centre-back (see his 'defending' in the Swansea defeat) nevermind an England one. Welbeck isn't in Sturridge's class, as a forward, at all.

err...i think i've said Sturridge is better than Wellbeck. Difficult to compare as they bring different things to the table. My main concern would be that neither
of them are that good and are down the pecking order in their own teams.

Rooney, RVP, Mata >>>>Wellbeck

Suarez >>>>> Sturridge

If i had to pick two strikers from above it's be Suarez and RVP (fit and in expected form)

... and people at work laughed at me when I said that one win against a team that were bottom of the league was not the indicator that they would charge back into the Champions League race.

I was clearly talking out of my arse about Wellbeck, he's shite...."United now have Rooney, Kagawa and Mata who are all too talented to sit on the bench, and who only really play effectively off the striker as a no10. So, with all three fit and available, which one of them spent the most time playing there today? That's right.......Danny Welbeck."

I was reading this week that with Mata, Rooney and Van Persie in the same side they would be a threat to all once more and today all 3 played.
Result-the first win in 30 years or so by Stoke against them.
Moyes and Diver Young just came on Sky and said how well they had played-disillusioned or what, when the stats show that Stoke had more shots on target than the champions of last season.
When do Stoke ever have more shots than the opposition?
This really is a fall of epic proportions with them having lost no players from the side that won the title just a matter of a few months ago and a spend of around £65 million on new ones.

You probably already know he didn't play for Man Utd even once last season.

you'd think a team like the following (i don't really know United strongest line-up) would at least be able to compete. I know this
is a United thread but there are United players in the England team that shouldn't be in the first 11 (Young, Cleverley, Wellbeck).
Carrick really needs to up his game but who else is there for England with experience. Stevie G is a liability now (he'll be 34 with a
dodgy back playing in the heat/humidity of Brazil)

Fergie's farewell speech stated the United fans job was to back the new manager. Some chant "Every single one of us will stand by David Moyes." But a peep on Red Café their biggest fans forum shows a thread entitled "David Moyes sack watch". Lots of them want him out and some even stick the boot into Fergie. So, if they finish outside of the top 4, do they stick or twist ?
Obviously this is assuming United do not win the Champions League this year because if they do, he stays.
