sandman Not really.

Home games are always going to be different to away games because different aspects of support attend them. If you asked the majority of those people who go to the Madejski on Saturday afternoon whether they enjoy the "match day experience" and what that represents they will most likely say yes.

The trouble with Reading is - in the clubs interest they don't want pubs or say a Harvester restaurant (as near many a new ground) etc being built anywhere near the ground so they can have the monopoly on beer sales. You can't blame them really, but it makes for a poorer experience for me personally.

Really? I think its an utterly crap matchday experience for too many reasons to list. Hence why I always leave by about 85 minutes to get on the first bus out of the place.

So do I sometimes but they don't give a flying one what we think about it. They care about families and all that stuff. That's who they aim to shape the matchday experience around and if you asked the majority of them they'd say they enjoy the experience. Hence why they place high in the family club awards and all that bolocks.

Well and tbf to the club there's not a great deal they can do.

You can't build stadia in town anymore, you'd never find the land or get the planning permission. And it's not like an industrial park on the outskirts of town is going to be a hotbed of post match drinking and dining options.

Shame about the public transport though I do wonder if that could be improved. Green Park station anyone :?:

High in the family awards? What does that entail then? Because the only thing to do around the Mad Stad is go to the game and leave as quickly as you can. There's not even a museum at the ground.

As Floyd said. Many people get to the ground about 5 mins before ko and leave before the end.
