It's not your Saturday night headbutt but a headbutt all the same.

Will always be hysteria over something like this and Newcastle have come in early to settle the position.

IMO he is lucky to keep his job.

If I did that in my place of work I'd lose my job.

Ah, forgot, it's football. Silly me.

Yup, and if he'd done it in front of a copper in the street he'd have been arrested.

He didn't make much contact, but he's in a position of seniority and there was clear intent. He deserves a right bollocking.

Don't get me wrong, I loved it, I just wouldn't expect to keep my job if I did it.

This picture makes it look quite a touching moment.

Me too. That Hull player was being a bell end any way. Got what he deserved then played the victim.

Well there's a lot wrong with that, one being that the Hull player hardly did anything, if you think the 'head butt' was nothing then the 'push' that started it was even less so. Also he didn't react in the way certain players would have, see the Norwich player a couple of weeks ago, by rolling around holding his face and he didn't retaliate.

Headbutt

It was a head push. No different to what the Hull player did to Pards with his hand

I am amazed how relaxed some of you are at Pardew's latest rush of blood.
He has much previous concerning officials and other coaches and managers and his behaviour is worse than we see in Sunday League football and his smarmy apology (as if he were talking about somebody else) was just cringeworthy.
Most clubs would sack him but Newcastle aren't like most clubs so the yob Ashley will probably take the matter no further however I fully expect the FA to ban him from any ground for 3-4 games and possibly for a year away from the touchline.

He had problems at both West Ham and Saints off the field leading to sackings-the bloke is just a nob and Match of the day would be better (it couldn't be much worse) without his presence every week.

He IS (however, surprisingly) an ambassador for non league grass-roots football.

Whilst you raise good point Vic, the pretty-much (non) "event" yesterday has been leeched on and well overblown....nobodies killed..nobodies injured....half of our "footballing family" would not have even known about it, had it not been for our over-reactive press

3 game touchline ban...financial penalty....nothing more...move on

As far as head-butts go...see better examples in a lorry full of headless goats
