Loved Bruce's post-match where he said Meyler did well to restrain himself instead of rolling around.

Did he restrain himself? Did he oxf*rd. There were players all round him immediately holding him back.

The whole "he's lucky to keep his job" line is a bit harsh given plenty of players have done far worse and not been sacked. Not saying he should be excused, but if you "allow" one to get away with it, you have to "allow" others to get away with a similar offence

Not surprised by the media hype about it considering it wasn't that bad.

Meyler was a bit aggressive when trying to retrieve the ball, he just needed to tone it down a notch or two.

And the headbutt.......wasn't even a headbutt. He just delicately put his head towards Meyler.

What should happen is, both shake hands and get on with it like men. Instead we'll have a long drawn out hearing about it to justify the highly paid jobs of those at the FA and whoever else is involved - and Pardew should just sit the stands until he thinks he can control himself with a little more decorum as it's not an isol8ed incident with him.

To be fair to Pards at least when he has a touch line ruck he does it to the persons face rather than poke them in the eye and run away.

Perfectly reasonable way of describing the incident.

Ruck as in the accepted shortened form of ruckus seems appropriate enough a description

Handbags seems much more appropriate in this instance.
