I've been to about 80+ games abroad, in about 20 countries.

It's come out the other side of impressive, and now sits more in slightly embarrassing territory.

There are several obvious impressive big grounds like Dortmund etc, but I've really enjoyed some of the smaller quirky ones.

Go Ahead Eagles, Bohemians Praha (also with a fine name "The Dimple"), Bochum (not small, but with a great end terrace), Viktoria Zizkov, Bangkok Glass (a crazy triple decker terrace at one end), Mechelen, Lyra (Belgian 4th div, but a good ground) were certainly among my favourites, as was Aachen's old Tivoli ground, which reminded me of a packed Elm Park.

Ouroboros I once saw a game in Berwick on Boxing Day - anything to get out of my grandparents' house. It was about 2 degrees outside. It finished Berwick 0-0 Montrose.

Absolutely awful.

So you watched a game in England then?

Only 3 - England, Wales and Russia. Seen a couple of FC Saturn games, each of the last 2 summers. They used to be in the Russian Premier League but got dumped out in dodgy circumstances and are now playing on their former practice pitch in the grounds of their former stadium. Their 2nd goal in July was a bit special, from the half-way line. http://www.saturn-fc.ru/game/24107/

England - about 40 grounds, league and non-league. About 10-15 of those stadiums no longer in use
Wales - just Cardiff and Swansea
Italy - Bari in Serie B years ago
Japan - all of the 2002 World Cup stadia plus about 20 others. Watching football in Japan is brilliant
South Korea - a couple of World Cup games and a league game
Hong Kong - a dreadful, dreadful experience at a league game. The fans were just there to bet on who took corner kicks or whatever. There was no interest in the game itself
Chile - a Copa Sudamericana game with a visiting Argentinian side. Brilliant
Argentina - a league game. It was fantastic
Brazil - a Corinthians league game. Best football experience ever
United States - a couple of cup and MLS games. Not bad

France (PSG at the Parc des Princes and a game at Caen when they were way down the leagues, aeons ago)
Italy (Lazio v I forget who, might have been Inter, at the Olympic Stadium)
Malawi v Zimbabwe in Lilongwe
Germany (Jena v Newport County last summer, had to be switched to Weimar as Jena's floodlight pylons failed a safety inspection).
