Can't think of a similar example of people active in the game discussing issues at any length, looking forward to this.

Great idea, but they need quest appearances from Refs and members of the FA.

Footballers Football Show? I'm sure there's another one on Sky as well, but I can't remember what it's called.

Quite like Match of the Day 2 Extra on Sunday lunchtimes. Generally have an ex-player/pundit, MOTD/5Live comment8or and a print journalist. At 45 minutes it's a bit short, but a key part of, IMO, BBC's improved football coverage this season.

Dont like the idea. Just seems to add yet even more to the drama/faux importance of football which I hate.

Thought the idea sounded the opposite to be honest. Take football discussion out of post-match interviews and headline-making post-game punditry, and into a more formal setting in a studio, with debates allowed to run for half an hour instead of three minutes.

Manager interviews are just dull as f*ck. When was the last time you heard one that gave some new insight into what has gone on? Cliche riddled drivel.

Managers understandably wont talk tactics beyond basics, cant talk about refs and decisions and wont be negative about their own players. It all ends up being scripted bollox with no substance.

Pre match interviews? F*cking christ.

'How do you feel about todays game?'
'Great, really positive, its an important game for us'
'How will you deal with their line up?'
'We will have to be positive and attack but be strong in defence'
'and what are the oppositions strengths?'
'They are strong in defence but we know they will be positive in attack'
'Thanks'
:manager stands clearly desperate to leave like he is in an AIDS clinic waiting room and has seen someone he recognises:

its may as well be a neanderthal grunting conversation for all the insight we get.

I would be happy never to hear another managers interview tbh
