Yes if we end up in administration because of his obstinacy over the name. But I doubt he'd let it get that far.

Why would you be annoyed if unicorn poo rained from the sky? That'd be AMAZING.

Echo brendy. Can't see sjm risking losing £10m and having to continue proping the club up over the name of the stadium.

There are many on who seemingly worship the ground he walks on and he can never do wrong.
He saved us, he has given us millions, he built a school blah blah blah.

That's not the "I'd buy that for a Dollar" guy. That's Clarence Boddicker, the main Villain in Robocop (1987).

The Rouge
St. Brynjar From what I've heard nothing will happen for quite a long time. Apparently Samuelson is being much more cooperative than is being made out here, it's SJM who is the problem. He won't give up the naming rights to the stadium, and is holding out for an actual fee when the TSI people are happy to take the quid and dash.

I would concur with this bit. My good source defienitley stated that thr Russians were being cooperative but Madejski wasn't - hence the Omani takeover fall through. I won't mention one of the ridiculous clauses he tried to put in there..

Go on Rouge.

Was it that the Omanis must supply free oil for his fleet of cars via a personal pipeline to Upper Basildon?

I'm sure someone has already asked this, but if AZ is the majority owner, then is he able to overrule Madejski and his desire forvthe name to remain?

Royalclapper There won't be a buyout/takeover until every last liquid asset has been converted into cash and squirreled away to some untraceable account somewhere in the name of someone.

And just how do you think they will manage that one then?

Very doubtful. He's handed over custodianship to SJM, hook, line and sinker. I doubt he gives a flying one what happens now.

Depends on whether the rumour that AZ has handed back his shares are true or not. If they are, no he can't. If they aren't, yes he can if he chooses to do so. May also depend on how the club's decision process works, if it's a vote of directors and Anton is just one of them and Samuelson and Obolensky choose to side with his Madj, maybe not. Although I can't see what's in that for them and let's face it, Samuelson's about as mercenary as they get.

I still don't get why people think SJM would value a stadium named after him providing no tangible benefit over ~£10m quid he's owed when his finances are in the bog.

Don't think it has been done & doubt it will be.

However, that doesn't mean it would be impossible. As for how, given the backgrounds of some of those involved I would be surprised if someone didn't know how or didn't know someone who knew how!

AZ no longer owns the club, we just owe him money ....
