Read before that he owns a number of businesses and has done very well out of it. Fair play to him.

Messed up when he decided that the England under 21's were beneath him and his senior team ambitions. Senior ambitions that would probably have had more of a chance if he hadn't been so unprofessional when he did join up with the squad.

He could of easily got a large contract at a championship club and take the money but actually well done for admitting it isn't for him anymore. He was on BT Sport a few months ago and it was apparent he was done with the game. Actually seemed half intelligent for a footballer but i do not buy the excuse of social media playing a part in him calling it a day!!

Being a twat doesn't prevent you from being intelligent. As you and I both prove.

Think you'll find I'm a loveable rogue whereas you're an utter tosser.

Once saw Bentley walk into the wrong dressing room at the Madejski until one of his team mates called him back.

Thanks Floyd,

You're a real happy go lucky ray of sunshine in an otherwise cloudy day.

Fair play to him, many players out there would take another contract out on good money and not give 100%.

A thick footballer only has to do one thing right and that's trust the right accountant/advisor/agent, some achieve it by luck mind you.... Robbie Fowler was still the highest paid player at Leeds after he left thanks to some good agent skills, he also made a fortune by having all his money invested in property thanks to some good financial advice and a willingness to listen to it.... However, I don't see him winning mastermind or even catchphrase anytime soon.

Moving away from football, Katie Price aka Jordan has a vast business empire.... proof you don't need a brain to succeed.
