New England Captain - POLL

by leww_rfc » 23 Jul 2014 15:30

Can see why everyone is saying to go for Rooney, but why give the armband to someone who gets used as a scapegoat when things don't go to plan?

Hart for me.

I know Jordan is one but is Darius the other ?

Oh, and Cahill - it must be someone who deserves his place

Cahill as skipper for me.

Not keen on keepers being captains generally, whilst Cahill is just about the only England player who is guaranteed a starting spot week in week out for his club side.

None of them. Cahill perhaps the better bet, but he doesn't exactly look international class (yet). Far too inconsistent. Such an uninspiring England team!

What an uninspiring list of people who haven't secured a starting place or are poor choices.

Cahill seems the best bet... otherwise... er Henderson?

Voted for Cahill. Not only one of our better players at the World Cup but also a guaranteed starter for both club and country. The move to Chelsea has definitely improved him as a player.

Rooney should be nowhere near the captain's arm band given he's lucky to be in the team at the moment with this recent form.
