From Despair To Where? So Old Trafford and Stamford Bridge were built after the Taylor Report?
OKjd82From Despair To Where? But when Stuka has made it clear he's talking about post Taylor Report stadia, Stamford Bridge and Old Trafford are irrelevant to the discussion.
He didn't though.
He did 2 posts before Kes posted.

Royal Ginger Re the OP, Twickenham has to be right up there as one of the first. One fact i do know about it is that it was the first stadium in the world to have 3 tiers.

The three-tiered Goodison Road stand was built in 1971. The Twickers redevelopment started in 1981.

I went on the stadium tour 10 years ago and the bloke told me Twickenham was the first...I'm off to get my money back.

From Despair To Where? No Fixed Abode
So it's probably Old Trafford then. As improvements were done prior to the Riverside being built in 1995. The new Den was the first of the new Stadia post Taylor (granted it isn't a bowl) as it opened in 1993.
Thanks for clearing that up then. The first new build stadium constructed after the Taylor Report in an enclosed bowl style was either Old Trafford or the New Den.

hardly a bowl as there are 4 stand alone stands. And in the top left hand corner, the original Den is visible.
