Copyright - Premier League warns about posting goal videos

The Premier League has told Newsbeat they're going to clamp down on fans posting unofficial videos of goals online.

Thousands of goal Vines were posted on social media during the World Cup.

With the new football season starting tomorrow the trend was expected to continue.

However the Premier League has said that tweeting copyrighted material is illegal and are warning supporters not to do it.

Meanwhile Man Utd have banned ipads and laptops from Old Trafford. Purely for terrorism reasons of course.

FWIW I support clubs and the league trying to reduce the filming of goals but not for the same reasons.

Time when we really have to worry will be when a player films himself scoring and tweets the footage from on the pitch. Can't be an impossibility....
