Betting at the Mad Stad

by Royals and Racers » 19 Aug 2014 12:37

Does anyone bet with the betting room at the stadium regularly ? Normally get a sheet-9/1 for Jake Taylor to score first on Saturday surely is pathetic ?

The odds offered at the kiosk have always been a lot worse than you'd get from your Corals, your BetFreds and your William Hills of the world

16/1 with B365. I had him anytime at 13/2.

It just depresses me that the club feels the need to exploit fans at every possible opportunity. The money they were getting from Ladbrokes obviously wasn't enough so they've now gone with this other company that appears to specialize in offering lower odds to a captive market.

These days it's not a captive market though! We do all our betting online. BetFair is the company of choice for me. They must be delighted with the money I wasted last night.

Specially now that you can actually get 3G/4G at the Mad Stad, don't need to use the bookies there. And if it's 'all part of the experience', then don't worry about the shit odds they're offering.

Odd. I always find the Mad Stad (and East Stand) terrible for internet signal.

Probably as a result of lower attendances due to Adkins' style of football alien8ing a lot of fans into non-attendance

Had my 1st bet for ages today-thought the 5/1 the field for 1st goalscorer was reasonable value-so had a little fiver on Glenn Murray.
