Mr Angry I simply LOVE threads like this!

:D

Who says football fans have no perspective, and no sense of history??

From disaster to disaster? Really???

On the back of 2 defeats?

Boo hoo hoo, we aren't in the Premier League anymore so all my friends who support Chelsea and Manchester United and Liverpool make fun of me in the playground - it's simply NOT FAIR!!! and its just a disaster!!!

GROW A oxf*rd PAIR!!! This is what supporting a Football club (rather than being another means of generating money for Americans/Arabs/Russians) is all about; the pain and the unhappiness makes the success - when it comes (and we have had a hell of a lot of success in the last 10-15 Years tbh) all that much better.

It's what the lyrics of Sweet Caroline are all about!

From a premiership side to a side that will struggle to remain in the championship. Timeline - less that two seasons. This despite the money from the premiership and the parachute payments. What would you say constitutes a ' football disaster'? Perhaps you weren't around when we spent 50 years or so in the wilderness. Its been a massive catalogue of disastrous decisions. From not spending in our first premiership season - to selling to a waster with no money - to our present fire sale of all our best players. And Christ we pick the worst sickly song of all time!! The truth is there is no heart in the club anymore. As we drift down, no-one will want to join us (Bamford) as failure will begat failure. The ides of March are nigh!

Christ you are a barrel of laughs!!!!
There is no disaster, end of discussion!!!

Its a time of transition that has been screwed by injuries. It will be ugly for a
month or so.Its a long season.Mid table awaits and we should be happy with
that under the circumstances.

Agree with Mr A.

I'd call a footballing disaster going into Admin. Dropping down the leagues like Pompey.

Not just losing 2 games. Although obviously seeing as paddy is a prophet and already knows we're going to be relegated despite the fact we've only played 4 games, when that happens it might be a bit of a disaster. Then again, it didn't hurt Saints too much. Or Norwich.

Only the delusional would call our ownership issues anything less than a disaster.

This, of course, is not Adkins fault.

He is to blame for the unremitting mediocrity that has prevailed since the day he arrived and his tedious apologists are already smoothing the path of this woeful manager with their expectations of yet another mind numbingly boring, sh*t style "season of transition"

We have had a non existent defence since the day he arrived and now he's put the tin lid on that by re-instating the equally abysmal Australian between the sticks. This, of course, had everything to do with better distribution from the back and precisely fcuk all to do with how many times the ball would have to be retrieved from the back of our net :|

So we were forced to start with a midfield of rookies thanks to our horrendous injury list.....................so why was Akpan on the bench alongside our England Goalkeeper :|

Along with no defence, why have we always had so many players on the treatment table since this twat walked through the door :|

Many of us remember just how bad things were when Pardew took over but he stopped the rot with a string of boring draws and slowly got us going forward and back to winning ways.

Good managers, in all fields, get the very best out of the resources at their disposal and whatever our views on past RFC managers, Adkins simply isn't fit to lace the boots of not just McDermott in this respect but Coppell and Pardew, too.

No, sacking McDermott as we were all but doomed to relegation from the top flight and replacing him with someone whose apologists expect no more than 2nd tier transition from 2 seasons later was not a complete disaster. It was, however, our worst change of management since the days of TB's 1 and 2 and right now there's more chance of hell freezing over than us getting back to where Brian left us anytime soon.

Losing away to league leaders is no disgrace but getting hammered 4-0 nil with your best 'keeper and only fit experienced midfielder sat on the bench says everything about where Adkin's priorities lie.

If this result had been one of the final nails in Nige's coffin, Saturday could have been a great day for this club, as it stands, frankly, I can't face watching what this PE teacher is doing to our club.

Wake me up when he's gone.

I pay my money so I have the right to my opinion. What gives you the right to talk to me like that? Clueless style of play, clueless substitutions, clueless purchases, can't remember when the team looked this disorganised....

And he has a right to tell you its shit.

Shit in his opinion, but not oxf*rd off!No need......

Sadly have to second this. Adkins is no longer seeing the wood for the trees. He had a very strong squad last season and under performed badly. That of course was after he agreed to letting Kebe and Mariappa go, arguably our best performers in the premiership with no fight to keep them..He could have refused the signing of Drenthe but clearly didn't have the nerve to stand up to Zing. How many more poor decisions can he make whilst smiling broadly? If the decisions were beyond his control they shouldn't have been if he is any sort of manager. Unfortunately when ( or if) our new 'partners' arrive I can't see them having much say either. You only had to watch the interview with our new lady to see how Mr Mad was telling her all her answers! What we need now is a strong intelligent manager that is prepared to stand up for what he believes in. As soon as Parky arrives back we will see the good times return.

Drivel. So much so I can only assume it's actually a parody. Sadly we all know Woodcote is actually serious though.

The only disaster at the club right now (apart from Drenthe) is the massive injury list, which Tshibola and Hector have been added to.

Kebe our best performer in the Premier League? A player who hardly played and, IIRC, didn't play once for Adkins as we surrendered our Premier League status and caused Adkins to question his commitment and has shown no sign of quality since either.

What is a disaster at the moment is our inability to keep the squad fit and free of injury.

That's a really obvious attempt to move the goal posts now someone has pointed out you were wrong.
