Couple of quality finishes last night - Lewandowski's header was a thing of beauty, great upper body strength to hold off Sagna (ok, he's no Bikey) and direct his header into the corner; and similarly great strength from Aguero to steady himself and put the winner home with a defender leaning on his back.

M8 - Lewandowski's header went in off his shoulder - so not sure it's THAT "great" a goal

Aguero's 3rd though was definitely special, if you watch it back, you'll see that Neuer anticipates Aguero taking it on his left peg as 5 minutes before, that's what he did to score the 2nd. However, Aguero (as you said) shows great strength to allow the ball to come across him and uses his low centre of gravity to shift his body weight and allow him to bury it with his right foot. Quality, quality finishing.

I only watched the last half hour of football last night and this was the thought process...

Man City playing one of the greatest European club sides of the last 5 years and chasing a result >>>>>>>>>>> Already qualified Chelsea cruising 3-0 up away at Schalke

Was worth watching City last night just to see the smug grin wiped off Neuer's face.

Yes they did, they beat Schalke 5-0. Can't believe you don't even know when your own team is playing, typical face painted, fleece wearing, glory boy.

Who could the English sides face in Monday's last-16 draw?

Arsenal - Atletico Madrid, Real Madrid, Monaco, Bayern Munich, Barcelona, Porto

Chelsea - Juventus, Basel, Bayer Leverkusen, PSG, Shakhtar Donetsk

Manchester City - Atletico Madrid, Real Madrid, Monaco, Borussia Dortmund, Barcelona, Porto

My prediction is Arsenal get Barca, City get Dortmund and Chelsea get Shakhtar

Yep. Breaking FFP with an expensively assembled squad and scraping through a group they should have easily qualified from.

Someone's a little jealous that Chelsea aren't the richest club in the country anymore.

Monaco score just four goals in six games, yet win their group with 11 points.

Not so much ouch for Chelsea. Could have been easier but PSG this season are not the same team as the last couple of years apparently.

won just over 50% of their games this season, 2nd in the league with 3rd just a point behind them and they lost to the mighty Guingamp yesterday who are down near the bottom

I look forward to Jose and Kes both complaining about how much money PSG have spent if they lose, although I'm not sure that will happen with agent Luiz there
