It's a new ground to go to. I would have preferred this draw a few years ago when they were still at Layer Road, but it'll still be another one ticked off the list if I can get there.

Green +1.

Leyton Orient perhaps - are they still in it?

That'd be very nice. I've never been to Brisbane Road.

Major embarrassment alert - went to Brisbane Road for an Associate Members Cup game in December 1999 I think. LIving in sunny Epping so Leyton was on my tube journey home from work. Thought it would be good to see RFC at a new ground.

Got off at Leyton about 6.45, walked up Leyton High Road, andf noticed no flood lights on, so assuemd a later KO. Turened down Buckingham Road into Brisbane Road, and the place was deserted! Bit odd I thought. Found a guy walking his dog and asked about the game, to be told it was at the MadStad!

Total pillock! So yes, would be happy with Leyton Orient away this season!

Ooof.

How did you find the commute out to Epping? Nice to just get one tube home, but it does look like a bit of a slog. The "End of the line" in more ways than one. Actually no just one, but still.

As uninspiring as a new ground venue gets, but it is handily placed literally next to the A12 and there is plenty of parking in the industrial estate as you come off the relevant junction (as I say, the ground will provide a bloody useful clue where to come off); at junction head right towards ground and then turn left at the roundabout towards said industrial park away from the ground itself.

I hear there's a crackling atmosphere at the Weston Homes Community Stadium

Colchester United never won in the 4 times I went to the Weston Homes Community Stadium whilst living locally.
Hopefully to become 5.

As Floyd says, it's a soulless stadium with nothing decent nearby.
The few hundred 'hardcore' United fans are not situated next to the away fans, so don't expect a decent atmosphere.

New ground, not one Im particularly impressed by
might go dependant on the train situation, might be hard on an evening KO

The game could be played on the Wednesday. Ipswich also have a home tie and they normally play at home on the Tuesday. The clubs are not far apart and some of the stewards work for both clubs.
