melonheadTop Flight Hearing that Clarke just got sacked now makes my above comments look stupid. I still think Tim Dellor deserves to face the sack as well.
don't worry about it, the comments looked stupid before he got sacked

highlight of the game for me was the drunk chavs and their missus' in the n stand on my row, with their beers and wines, swearing and being obnoxious.

sandmanNo Fixed Abode It was a very dour game. Might be due to the game being played behind closed doors.
So many empty seats, how can fans call for managers to be loyal when they can't even be bothered to turn up and support the team?

Were they the 'ladies' who were taken from their seats by the steward in the first half (I think) with their red wine?

Nothing at all. I just wouldn't expect someone of that age to get so spectacularly rattLOLed by going all red faced and shouting vvanker after conceding a late winning goal.

And I'm sure most wouldn't expect someone to amass such a high post count on a forum of a team they don't support, but there you go, there are helmets all over the place.

bobby1413 Bit late to the party as I've been busy all day, but just wanted to share a few thoughts about last night.
NOTE: They are not all directed towards the game... and I also noted down these points before SC was sacked
Fans singing "We're fcking shit"
In Y25 after the goal went in, some fans started very enthusiastically (probably more so than any other chant) singing "we're fcking shit" in unison with QPR. This attitude doesn't help. The main fan who seemed to be revelling in it all I do recognise and could name but won't. It's pretty pathetic. Yes, scream, shout, moan, but negativity breeds negativity. This was a point I wanted to make last night - I.e. before SC went, but I think it's still very valid.
The PA guy
There is a seperate thread I know, and I'm disappointed to see others have already addressed the following point...
He is absolutely cringe worthy and it honestly is painful listening to this complete and utter drainer. Surely neutral fans, away fans and home fans must all feel the same way - it's just annoying.
"Let's shake the foundations of the stadium"
"Let's send shivers down the spine of all the sky viewers"
... you COULD potentially get away with that with 24000 fans in the stadium, on an evening where there was a real buzz, where it meant something significant, when the game had been talked about for days.
NOT QPR at home with 15000 fed up fans.
Throw Ins
It is like watching an Adkins team. Remember back in 2006ish when we played the multiball system, when the team were NON STOP, the ball went out... BANG, it's straight in again and we're charging towards goal.
Now, the ball goes out. Player wonders over, picks it up. No one really doing anything - Blackman walking away not looking... 10 seconds later ball played in, kicked in the air and given away.
QPR players celebrating
Thought they lacked class with their gesturing to the East stand after the goal. They scored - won, fair enough, I just don't see the need for them rubbing our faces in it. If an RFC player did that I'd be equally disappointed.
Gunter
He just appears weak most of the time, running forward then STOP... pass backwards. He does it all the time.
Moan over

At least we've found out who the red faced vvanker shouting bloke is.

Pepe the Horseman Thought Gunter did ok. Got forward a lot and put some half decent crosses in.

I've been banging on about this for years and I think this is the first time anyone else has mentioned it. Unfair to pick on Blackman though as virtually all our side do the same. No-one seems interested in getting into space to support the thrower (Williams is an exception!) and nearly every time the ball ends up with the opposition.
Conversely, when the opposition have a throw we 'politely' back off and fail to make any meaningful effort to challenge for the ball. It's so basic!!
