Good lad.

If Rooney plays at the Euros I shall find something else to do when the games are on.

The guy is fcuking useless in tournament football when fully fit. When off the pace, as he undoubtedly will be after this current injury, he becomes a total embarrassment.

Remember being generally slated for not thinking England were much cop in the mid-00s. How's that all worked out for them?

can't really think of a tournament that he has been fully fit for

Usually just returning from injury and you're right he's dogshit for the first couple of games

and literally no-one will be giving a fcuk what you're doing when the games are on

As an elderly friend tells me every time an England game is on - "I wouldn't draw my curtains if that lot were playing in my back garden".

Would hardly agree that he "lit up the tournament".......maybe "lit-up" a dross England team that included the likes of Heskey......how did we get on anyway?

Oh come on Spizz, he scored 4 in 4 as an 18 year old and was named in the official team of the tournament. He was a breath of fresh air and one of the players of the tournament.

You can criticise him for some of his displays since, or England for conspiring to under perform for far too long but playing down Rooney's impact on Euro 2004 is just churlish.

As for how did we get on, we went out on pens after losing Rooney to injury in the first half whilst leading 1-0. If Rooney hadn't got injured there's a good chance we'd have gone on and won the tournament instead of Greece.
