We draw at home and lose away - that's pretty much how it works right?

We played better than we have in ages. The ref is the only reason we didn't win.

BM spot on again with his formation and tactical awareness against the mighty Cardiff who are flying at the moment. A well earned point, snatched from the jaws of victory.
Cox, Kermorgant and Vydra are almost unplayable, huge credit to BM for getting these once crap players all playing so well, the goals are sure to come. Good to see Mccleary playing for a contract too.
There was I thinking BM just talks a load of boll*cks but we are really putting a run together and look a solid cohesive unit who can now push for a play off place.

Should we be concerned that we are getting dragged into the relegation battle, as we can't or don't know how win a game ?

Well we should have been 2-0 up at half time regardless.

Ian Royal There's just no belief or conviction that we can change the game and win is there. There's not a single player in our side that you can rely on to positively change a game.

John has little end product and can't last 90
McCleary is woefully out of form
Vydra is woefully short on confidence and form
Cox has never been prolific or a game changer
Williams is far more likely to shoot 10 yards high and wide
Piazon is lightweight and inconsistent
Kermorgant never looks like finishing his dinner
HRK has little end product
Norwood has awful set pieces
Rakelss looks lightweight and short of end product

1-1 FT

My God I think its beginning to sink in, lets get more English backbone in the team, why this obsession with 2nd rate forieign players????.

Of course not, they get paid regardless, should have seen the big smile on Rakels face in the car park, he just got paid 20K for doing sweet F.A.

I think there will be a few more where he came from (cheap to pick up, untested at this level, if the gamble pays off sell them for a profit, owner happy).

We realistically need 5 points in 9 games, we're averaging more than a point a game under McDermott. We're 8 points clear and have a game in hand. So no, we don't really need to be concerned we're getting dragged into a relegation battle because we aren't.

9am this morning - 8 points above relegation, 5pm today - 8 points above relegation.

Relegation battle won't come into reality until the embarrassment to come at Bolton is finally realised in 2 weeks.

Why do people assume 50 points is enough to stay up?
Teams have gone down with 54 points in the past.

MR. CYNICAL Why do people assume 50 points is enough to stay up?
Teams have gone down with 54 points in the past.

Because that was a rarity and 50 is the usual benchmark, plus it requires a massive up turn in form out of nowhere for several clubs for us to go down on.

22nd/21sts historic points totals:
41/46, 44/44, 54/55*, 40/48, 42/48, 47/49, 46/51, 52/53*, 42/49, 42/50, 50/50, 51/51, 46/50, 49/49, 48/49, 46/49

Four times in 16 years someone's gone down with 50+ points. And one of those years 50 was enough to stay up too. Two of them were fairly high scoring for all of the bottom three, which would take some doing at this stage.

I'd be amazed if 22nd finishes with more than 47 points.
