What with a trip Boreham Wood. This is an exciting pre-season tour.

Went to Lincoln about 15 years ago. By all accounts remember it to be a cracking little city. Might make a weekend break of it.

Do they/would they run supporters coaches to games like this?

No, not unless you can guarantee to take 50 people or so with you.

My old university city so would love to go but I will have cricket commitments :(

Lincoln is a lovely city but the bit around the ground isn't so nice, traditional but not great.

Are you suggesting that we couldn't get 50 people to this? It does seem a bit of a long way to go for a friendly

We'll have more than 50 fans there, certainly.

50 who'd want to travel up by coach, probably not.

It does seem a bit of a long way to go for a friendly

It's a bit closer than Slovenia, let alone Bangkok.

I didn't go in the end (only 69 did from Reading, apparently), but we put out a young side and lost 1-4, letting in two goals in the first two minutes.

Sam Smith got the Reading goal.

I know it's just pre-season, but that's got to be a bit disappointing for what is a very advanced looking youth side.

Why?

I know nothing about youth football but what's the issue?

Because the youth side Reading put out is quite strong with a few players who would hope to be close to the first team, and Lincoln are a non league team. Unless I'm missing something obvious...
