maffff Home kit it is then.

Nice

Hopefully now it'll trick to the lads into thinking we're at the Madejski (post expansion) and our home form continues to count...

NewCorkSeth Anybody else notice the commentator for the Hudd-Wed game mentioned a few times that Westwood was arguably the best keeper in the Championship? I know hes had a good season but does that not seem a stretch? No mention of Al-Habsi (statistically the best keeper this season) being a quality keeper during our match.

it's just something to say after a good save is made. The vast majority of people watching football on TV are not fans of the clubs involved and are hugely uninformed about those kind of details. For the 10% that WTF at the telly when they say that kind of thing they have 90% going 'hmm interesting, I will have to look out for him next season' etc and they take it on board as fact.

file it alongside the other completely irrelevant things in football

File it under "that's what he's got in his locker"

...hang on m8, you're talking about HRKanu.

It's a one-off thing, you're trying to appear knowledgeable etc

precisely. I would love as much as the next man if a commentator went all 'shitting hell, did you see that? amazing. better than when he pcunted it up against Barnsley eh?!' but it's never going to happen.

I do think it depends on who is behind the mike- especially the co-commontater....how much research have they done in the week before the game. Some rely entirely on the stats and odds, odd times you get one who has read the fans message boards. Fulham game it was actually mentioned that many fans weren't happy early in the season with the style of play Stam introduced, he didn't get that from the OS.

It does seem lately the media has very little on the club, bar the official PR releases/interviews....almost as if there is no longer an amiable knowledgeable (and connected) journo hanging round the place, getting gossip and passing on what he cannot publish, hence the lack of rumours from someone ITK.

Good friendly stuff going on the HT message board, a welcome change from the other feedback we've been getting recently
