Top 5 all seem to be firing whilst the play off ‘hopefuls’ dropping points all over the place

See Blackburn sneaked a lucky one at the end, but other than that a very good day for our play off hopes if not our auto ones

I know they've got a game in hand but the Fakies are now 20 points adrift of us!

F*ck knows what their fans think of being that far behind 'a team like Reading'!

It’s amazing how seriously underrated we still are by other fans.

During our start it was “Fluke start, can’t keep it up, mid table side at best”

Then we had our first team decimated, combined with some bad luck and costly mistakes went on that poor run and it was “knew it, showing their true colours, terrible team”.

Now it’s “probably top six but not good enough to go up can’t get autos”.

Maybe when we beat Brentford people might change their tune.

We're only just over half way through the season. Whilst Norwich can keep it up, they also might not and go on a little dip, allowing the chasing pack to catch up. It's only 7 points. They only need to lose two and everyone is back in the mix.

Norwich's next 4 games include Brentford and Swansea.

Interestingly form-wise, the top 5 teams have the exact same form in the past 4 games. Won 3, drew 1. Only Brentford go better when that is extended to 5 games. Watford comes off worse with a loss, the rest of us drew.

Currently, the top of the division is as tight as it gets. Who blinks first? (Please be Norwich against Swansea and Brentford, and make the run in extra exciting!)

TBH I like being written off and ignored. Let other teams & fans be ignorant. We have been excellent this season, and fully deserve our position.

When we finished under Stam, it did feel a bit lame. We weren't really *that* good, we just had a good season of results, but the football and players weren't all that special.

This is like the polar opposite. If this team was playing that season, we'd have smashed the league.

Not saying they wouldn't have won anyway but what a ridiculous penalty for Brentford at 3 -2 up. The game looked quite close at that point and Bees manager said at half time it was anybody's game at 2-2.

And the 6th goal looked massively offside.

Just saying
Is this how Toney has so many goals?!

Bournemouth apparently looking to resign Matt Ritchie. That won't be cheap.

Newcastle have said it has to be worth their while so they won’t be giving any discounts.
Josh King to Saints potentially, last chance to cash in on him. Why Saints would pay now rather than getting him for free in the summer not too sure...

Given his scoring record this season, I'm amazed anyone in the Premiership is interested in him especially when he's OOC in the summer. Fair enough, his goalscoring record in the Premiership is ok for a perennial relegation struggler but he's Shane Long without the work ethic.

Particularly good effort from less than six yards on Friday night 8)

Ben Davies to Liverpool seems an odd one too, although the "£2m" deal is actually £500,000 up front. I guess they might be taking the League Cup a little bit more seriously next season.

If he doesn't make it they'll sell him for twice what they paid - it's what the teams at the top of the PL do

Oh, I know that. I was going to say it's another Michael Hector purchase. They've got him for fcuk all really as he's OOC in the summer so Preston were there for the taking. That's 2 weeks wages for Salah.

Preston a little bit of an odd one. Lost two of their better players in Pearson and Davies for not a lot of money.

Almost starting from scratch again mid season it seems, though noticed Johnson has extended there when I didn’t think he would

I think they're just desperate for CB cover right now and getting what they can, he'll be loaned out or sold next season when their CB options are back in order.

They’re just desperate for central defensive cover and this is a cheap way (for them) to cover the remainder of the season. Preston will apparently get Sepp van den Berg on loan in return and are also lining up a move for Stoke centre back Liam Lindsay.

Forest have signed Glenn Murray on a permanent deal having featured scarcely for Watford this season. Obvious links with Hughton there - although not sure he's good enough anymore

Winston Reid has joined Brentford on loan from West Ham
Glatzel on his way out of Cardiff - joining German side Mainz
