I reckon losing to Wycombe or dropping 9 points from winning positions against Millwall, Brentford and Bournemouth would be rather more significant than GD

Stranded
windermereROYAL 0-0 Cardiff looked bang average.

Big points dropped for them and chance for us to move 6 clear of them now.

Their next 3 games:

Watford H
Stoke H
Swansea A

Tough run could see them fall away.

Agree - very surprised how poor Cardiff were last evening. Have no idea how they have gone on the recent good run if they have been playing like that. Perhaps last evening was just an off night but hopefully the tough run ahead will set them back.

Cardiff fans not happy with their performance. They have played a lot better than that recently.

We’ve played Bournemouth and Brentford twice. So it’s 5 innit?

Oh yeah right you are.

Have we won 2 in a row before?

And Joao's missed penalties; potentially worth 8 points.

But we are talking about the UP coming games, 12 ( +2 +1)

In these, the past being the past, our GD is not competitive with the top 7/8 (excl Barnsley ATM) so it's fairly obvious that a couple or three of 3-0 or 4-0 could more or less be "worth a point"

Watford beat Forest so clear in second.

Forest decent second half, next week will be a very tough game.

But if we match the results of the teams below us GD is irrelevant.

Watford’s home record is the best in the division I think.

Hughton is unsurprisingly starting to turn Forest into a competitive side again but are in the middle of a very tricky run of games though; Watford (a), Reading (h), Norwich (h), Brentford (a) and then Cardiff (a).

Late equaliser for Boro at Swansea

Boro had a goal ruled out previously - absolute horrendous decision from the ref. Swansea had a lot of luck recently

Swansea should do the lottery this week.

On paper they have favourable fixtures for the run in, but it's a gruelling league. If they keep this form up then fair play, but I expect it to end in an "easy" fixture as many unbeaten runs at this level do.

Wouldn't be surprised to see them falter now they've made it into the top six. Pressure changes to stay there now.

By all accounts Barnsley were very ordinary today and won with a good strike, game in hand against Derby on Wednesday and then a very big game at the vitality next week, Bournemouth should be up for that one.

Barnsley play Bournemouth away next week so someone or both drop points, win at Forest and things will look very good.
