Ironically, this would suggest lower tv revenue from fewer games

No they would sell that week for more. Plus there are 4 more group games coming too.

Plan will limit which cities can host the finals too. This worked as a one off when fans weren't allowed in great numbers, now not so sure.

Russian clubs banned from UEFA competitions next season

The knock on effect from Villarreal going out in the semi's is that another team from the qualifying stage for next seasons CL gets moved up to going straight into the group stage

That team would right now come from the 12th ranked nation, which is Ukraine. If they can't enter a team then it would be Turkey as the 13th ranked nation, and Trabzonspor are the Champions there.
