Mr Angry my guess as to what tomorrow's Sun headline will be:

"Argies get sheikhen up"

“Argentinians inSultan their country” oil get my coat.

I suppose but the pundits  were only talking about how they were missing so many good players and counting them out.

Was impressed with France last night, then again, I think most top nations would look good against Australia with all due respect. France do look solid everywhere, maybe just a lack of experience at the back without Varane and in midfield might be where they come up trumps against someone.

I thought Griezman was outstanding.
Difficult to judge teams playing against far weaker opposition, e.g France and England, but France are good to watch.

Is someone at ITV not able to spell Morocco as their score graphic has shortened the name to MAR instead of MOR.

But then given some of the rather odd abbreviations that they use on the FL highlights program it perhaps doesn’t surprise me much.

Watched Griezmann's movement all game. He just popped up everywhere and the French rotation and movement was outstanding. Mbappe is a cheat code - just unplayable. The drop of the shoulder and burst of pace before setting up Giroud's second was just  France look scary and you get the impression they could go up several gears.

More unnecessary whingeing which possibly could do more damage to England than being used as an example.

And so what if they are used as an example, like all teams at the tournament they should all try to cut out the things that the latest FIFA confused fiddling about is highlighting to referees.

It's an odd one
All I can find, with minimal research, is that the Italian and Spanish words for Morocco begin Mar

Yep, looked the real deal in so many ways - despite their various injury problems.

This is because of the large French influence in the country, whilst the official languages of the country are Arabic and Berber. The French word for Morocco is Maroc - and the abbreviation MAR is therefore used for sporting events and as the official country code.

Possibly but other countries use this sort of tactic to their advantage notably in rugby. Highlight some inconsistency to hopefully put the refs off from doing the same to your team. Australia are past masters at it on rugby.

But Southgate is doing exactly what Fergie is doing. Publicly highlight it as a risk so referees know about it and will subconsciously be drawn not to make decisions that will let him say "I told you so..."

Plus also helping instil a "they're all out to get us..." mentality into the team squad.

Thought I'd seen Maroc used but couldn't find anything to confirm it. Maybe seen on athletes?

Maybe

But he's also drawing attention to the inconsistency in penalty giving. If we progress we'd all like to hope the Maguire incident isn't repeated. Not if other similar perhaps weaker penalty claims are being given.

And why do FIFA tinker with stuff just before major tournaments anyway? We think we know the normal rules and interpretation and they always come up with something to confuse us.
