Snowflake Royal PA system is fine isn’t it? I've never had a problem understanding it, and I wouldn’t say I have great hearing.
I imagine the experience is not uniform across all stands and indeed all areas of a stand.
In the lower west near the away end the PA system is loud (too loud) but not clear.

Brogue hope we get a match day program back
Maybe a digital version? - Read on your phone/tablet.
If you want to print it yourself you can.

Will remove a big chunk of the costs in terms of printing and selling.

Would actually like the club to show some respect and read out the team and subs for the opponents rather than just ignore them like they're not really there.

Yeah, pisses me off as well.

They do it, but about 20 minutes before the game when no one is there

It's actually informative for the home fans too, knowing who the opponents are.
Appreciate they may continue to read them out a bit faster than they do the home team where they leave room for a cheer or applause.

Maybe they could acknowledge former Royals at this time, you never know it might get in their heads a bit too and we may be gifted with an Ady Williams style own goal.

Try looking up at the scoreboard during the game. The team lists are up there for three quarters of the match.

Another potential prize draw for Season Ticket Holders - winner gets to read the team sheets out. Could be some interesting pronunciation going on!

Cruzcampo coming to the Select Car Leasing Stadium as Heineken Partnership expands

Reading Football Club is delighted to announce that Cruzcampo, the iconic Spanish lager, will soon be available to fans at the Select Car Leasing Stadium, as part of an extended partnership with our official pouring rights partner, Heineken UK.

The addition of Cruzcampo adds another exciting choice for Royals supporters on matchdays.

To support this expanded offering and further improve the matchday experience, development has already begun to convert the former East Stand ticket office into a dedicated bar space ahead of the start of the competitive season. This new facility will serve the Fanzone area, allowing for faster service times and greater capacity, helping to reduce queues and create a more enjoyable atmosphere for all fans.

The clubs Head of Commercial, Tim Kilpatrick said:

“We’re proud to be working closely with Heineken to bring Cruzcampo to the Select Car Leasing Stadium. We know how important those pre-match moments are—meeting with friends, grabbing a drink, soaking in the atmosphere. We’re proactively trying to ensure the matchday experience is better, faster, and more enjoyable for every supporter who walks through our gates, while continuing to build something our fans feel truly part of.

As we build towards the start of the 2025/26 campaign, there’s plenty for Royals supporters to get excited about when they return to the Select Car Leasing Stadium today. From fresh upgrades to familiar favourites — here’s everything you need to know ahead of matchday.

New Kits on Show

Tomorrow marks the first home outing for Reading’s 2025/26 kits. Expect to see the Royals step out in a modern twist on our iconic blue and white hoops — complete with bold blue sleeves and a crisp white body.

Also launched this summer is our new change shirt — a striking crimson red design, finished with elegant tonal detailing. Both kits are available now from the Reading FC Fanstore.

Fanstore Hours: Open from 10am until kick-off — and again after full-time.

Cruzcampo & Guinness Join the Line-Up

We’re pleased to welcome Cruzcampo, a popular Spanish lager, as a new draught option available across the stadium concourses from tomorrow.

Guinness is also now available within hospitality areas — so whether you're in the stands or the lounges, there's something new to enjoy pre-match or at half-time.

Clearer Matchday Sound

Work has begun on a stadium-wide sound system upgrade, starting in the corner stands. The first phase is due for completion by Friday 9 August — with clearer announcements and improved matchday audio to follow across all stands.

What’s Coming Soon?

Reading Football Club has launched a series of infrastructure projects aimed at enhancing the long-term supporter experience. These upgrades will be introduced in phases throughout the 2025/26 season:

Toilets
Refurbished, reconfigured facilities with improved signage, accessibility, and capacity.

Sound System
A full PA and music system overhaul for consistent, high-quality audio in every area.

Wi-Fi & Digital Connectivity
Stadium-wide high-speed Wi-Fi, better 4G/5G coverage, and upgraded digital displays across concourses and seating areas.

Pre-Match Live
A brand-new indoor matchday experience — including live interviews, fan debates, and a curated food and refreshment offering.

These developments form part of a wider plan to modernise the stadium for the future — giving supporters a more comfortable, connected, and engaging matchday.

In Summary

Available tomorrow:

Brand new home and change kits
Cruzcampo available across the concourses
Guinness now served in hospitality areas
Initial phase of the new sound system in progress
Coming soon:

Fully refurbished toilets
Stadium-wide PA and sound upgrades
Enhanced Wi-Fi and digital connectivity
The launch of Pre-Match Live
We can’t wait to welcome you back to the Select Car Leasing Stadium. Let us know what you think of the latest improvements — and keep an eye out as more enhancements roll out during the season.
