Dirk Gently
Pepe the Horseman
Forbury Lion Just saw "Rival Watch - Mr Angry" on the front page, was wondering who Mr Angry's rivals were (Mr Calm maybe?) until I realised I was reading a combination of the title and the last poster to post on it

This will never, ever, get old.

Which game was that at?

Mr A will know much better than me, but some faint memory tells me it was against Chelsea?

Yeah, seem to remember it was Chelsea away when we went 2-1 up and were momentarily top of the league.

Momentarily? Wasn't it 45 minutes or so? Seem to recall we should really have had a third before half time and Torres' goal (the Chavsea third) was about 25 miles offside.

It started with Fedders letting in a harmless long shot.

I think that squad was always ultimately destined for relegation due to its lack of quality. But with a good start for a promoted team, you never know.

Guthrie 29'
Pogrebnyak 25'

Lampard 18' (Pen)
Cahill 69'
Ivanovic 90'+5'
Torres 81'

40 minutes according to the stats.

And the Torres goal was caused by Federici coming up for a corner ridiculous

Yely early and being way too slow to come back.s, that season we were one short and really lightweight in midfield - but when we played with five there we were short in attack. Danny Guthrie refusing to play the role he was bought for didn't help.

Fed did the same against Stoke opening day at home iirc.

As well as semi final of Cup v Gooners. Seems to be a theme going on here. Did Feds ever go to Specsavers?

I still remember the Peterborough cup game where he was incapable of covering his bottom corners as well.

For balance, he was mostly a very good keeper for us. JP and Al-Habsi the only two comparable since he and McCarthy left, which is over a decade (the Martinez loan doesn't count as he was not a long term no.1)

Very harsh on Cabral's good season. And I don’t see how you can just straight up discount Martinez because it was only 6 months.

Bit over 3 months of actually playing for Reading, late January to early May 2019.

Not to mention West Brom away where (ISTR) he came charging out for a ball he was never, ever going to get to.

But he is the only Reading keeper to score for Reading while playing as a keeper.
