Stranded He's apparently wanting to see if he gets any offers from the Championship before committing to drop down a level, which is fair enough and shows confidence in his ability.

My view, if this is going to happen it will be right at the end of August.

With Ahmed and Abrefa, Dorsett, Jacob, Ryan and Clarke, Lane, Camara, Ehibhatiomhan, Kyerewaa, Tuma and Okine-Peters... it seems to me he's either superfluous, or blocking progression.

Presuming a big part of his proposed signing is him joining as a player/coach so should be ideal to help mentor the younger players.

I’d be ok with him as he is so versatile
But also not especially bothered if he chooses not to

I'd also suggest that given he can play pretty much anywhere in midfield or out wide, he'd be an ideal option to bring on after 65 minutes if we're holding on and need a bit of energy and nous to see out the game. If he's coming as player/coach I really don't see a problem.
