Diogo Jota has died

by Mr Angry » 03 Jul 2025 10:42

Shocking news; car crash in Spain, on his way to catch a ferry to get back for pre-season training. (He had a minor op and was advised not to fly apparently). His brother also died.

They get a lot of stick but Chelsea and their players deserve credit for donating some of their world club cup winnings to Diogo’s and Andre’s families:

Kinda annoys me. Perhaps annoys is the wrong word. But the guys were multi millionaires I’m sure his family would be just fine. There are people who die everyday who really need money. Why not them. I know I I’m being quite disingenuous and it’s a nice thing to do. But It just doesn’t seem right imo.

I'm sure I read somewhere that Liverpool are honouring Jota's contract and will continue to pay his family.

Exactly what I was thinking. Nice gesture but a misguided one.
