Bindon dropped?

Whoops, one down already

He's not in the squad at all - so wonder if he's injured.

Apparently Ole Gunnar Solskjær's in the crowd, just two weeks after he was sacked by Besiktas - who failed to reach a European league phase this season.

Saw him described as Tyler Binman on their forum,. Not sure they're that impressed with him!

Probably jet lagged as he was away with NZ.

4-0 down with 20 mins left - Selles might not survive this.

4-0, jeez. Sacked in the morning I guess. Was never gonna work out there, but thought he'd last at least 10 games.

Sure he'll walk into another L1 job. Was never gonna work out for whoever replaced Wilder, such a stupid decision to sack him.

Absolutely shocking defending for the fifth - their number five got turned and simply gave up. Can't do much when the players can't be bothered.

Lots of revisionism of Twitter that's he was shit for us and has been found out. He did a good job for us and kept Hull up. His Sheffield United appointment never made sense and it looks like their new ownership are making a horlicks of things.

If he's available when Hunt goes I'd happily take him again.

There's your first problem.

He did an incredible job with us, eventually, and did brilliantly to keep Hull in the Championship last season.

I actually feel for the guy, it was a sorry sight at the end there when they applauded the away fans, I think he knows his time is up.

I don`t think he`ll come back here.

I hope not too but why the sympathy?

The guy has earnt more in the last couple of years than most average people earn in a lifetime and achieved what?
Relegated with Southampton.
Would have been sacked by Reading if not for extremely unique circumstances
Sacked by Hull after just avoiding relegation.
Has taken over the favourites to be promoted from the Championship and has them rock bottom.
Guy has stolen a salary and career most of us could only dream of!
He has rolled the dice and after a number of sixes hit snake eyes

They're morons who created a hostile atmosphere for the lad before he'd even kicked a ball.

Sheff utd an absolute mess now. Got to be it for Selles

He is difficult to judge. He ended up doing a fine job here but it took a long long time for him to get it close to right

We did also have a pretty good set of players tbh when you look back. It’s a real shame he left us when he did as his project was starting to bear fruit and could have led to great things

If we took him back for example suspect it’d take him 6 months to do well again

Yep, he would start slowly again and be without Knibbs and Smith who were important to how he played.

Deep down I know it would be a bad idea, I just still regret the delay in the takeover as I'd have love to seen what we could have done with stability and a bit more backing last season, and I feel like all parties are worse off that it didn't (including him).

Noel's done well out of it.

Selles did a good job, but so much of what worked for him is no longer here.

4 of Selles 6 most key players have gone... Knibbs, Smith, Bindon and Mbengue. Leaving just Wing and Pereira.

No Smith and Knibbs means his key high press, turnover tactic and target man play needs to change.
No Bindon and Mbengue means no one to get us out of trouble with pace at the back or dive in to a challenge in front of the defence. Less oozing of class in positioning, reading of the game and passing out.

And finally, his success was built on the big personalities in the sqaud drawing everyone together in an its us against the world and we're fighting adversity attitude. Half the big personalities have gone (Smith, Knibbs, Mbengue), and so has Dai, so we're not worried about salaries, points deductions or the end of the club as we know it any more.

Virtually his entire basis of success is gone. Which means he'd have to build a new one. And we saw last time he's really quite slow to do that.

At least Bindon wasn’t involved in the capitulation last night - guess it shows he’s the only one who’s been holding things together.

There are also suggestions the wise ones who run the club are now thinking of inviting Chris Wilder back.
