Orion1871 Why are the twitter twats so weirdly obsessed with Jayden Wareham's father? Very strange.

I think it's because the story goes when Wareham joined Exeter, his Dad insisted he get the shirt number that was retired when the previous owner died young. Not a great look if true.

It's a little bit more complicated than that, Exeter retired the #9 shirt when Adam Stansfield passed away.
iirc the cancer diagnosis was mid-season the last year he played (2009-2010)

It was un-retired in 2020, Ben Seymour wearing it that season and Jay Stansfield (Adam's son) in 2022-23. Shirt went unused for two seasons, and now Wareham has it.

Bit more here: https://www.exetercityfc.co.uk/Wareham9
Club and family all involved with the decision.

Daz Wareham does seem a bit of a dick, but he's not our problem anymore, so it's a bit weird how obsessed some of Reading Twitter is with him.

I'm sure it's just because he replies. Weirdos on Twitter like to abuse someone, then when they respond go 'I knew you'd bite' or something similar. Very strange.

Daz does seem like a right wally though and I don't think he helps himself.

Ahh, the Kes approach to the internet. Be a thick pcunt, get called out as a thick pcunt, claim victory.

WestYorksRoyal Rosenior given 6 year deal at Chelsea, which will mean a very big pay off in November.

Where are they getting their money from, since Abramovich was forced to sell?
