Unbelievable that they're trying to defend Suarez.

Liverpool fans are scum. And Kenny is just coming across as a daft senile old man. Not only did he 'not see' the missed handshake, apparently someone told him they shook hands just fine. What a stupid pcunt.

Spurs 5 - 0 Newcastle
Adebayor - deserves it.

He injured himself scoring, the Spurs players then proceed to kick him whilst on the floor

Mixed day for our ex-managers.
Brendan suffers a rare home defeat
Pardew's team does very little for his England chances (ruled out by himself despite nobody suggesting that he would be) by getting tonked in London again (conceded 5 at Fulham and now 5 at Spurs.
McGhee gets Bristol Rovers winning another game-?3 on the trot?
McGhee has had mainly rough times since leaving us and has been sacked even more times than Pardew so it's good to see that he still appears to have something to offer to the game.

Any other footballing events that caught your eye today, Victor?

fwiw, I think you're a little harsh on Pardew - it's not his fault that the bookies shortened his odds on becoming the next England manager.

I'm more concerned with the football than the circus that surrounds it and have posted on the Back from the game thread.
As I didn't see the early kick-off game I can't comment but am a little surprised at your earlier vitriol towards Liverpool and praise of Ferguson-the same Ferguson that never criticised his own player Kung Fu Cantona but has suggested that Suarez should never play for Liverpool again.
The FA will now presumably charge him with bringing the game into disrepute.

United were pro active in the kung fu saga and immediately banned Cantona for 5 months. That's called taking responsibility. They were also issuing apologetic statements.
Liverpool on the other hand....

Offended by everything.
Ashamed of nothing.

I think it's generally understood that if you say that you agree with someone's comments on a particular issue it doesn't imply that you condone everything they have ever done.

With regards to the football, Gerard, Johnson and Downing were all poor.

this whole episode (and many like it) are really dragging the game down...and subsequently turning a lot of people off

But as they say......any publicity and all that

Have just looked at the BBC clip on "Handshakegate".
Suarez offered his hand to Ferdinand as he did to the other two black players at the end of the line but Ferdinand refused it.
What does that say about Ferdinand?
Nothing much really,he is just as much a dick as the traitor Evra,he who walked out on his country at the last world cup and he who preciously complained about that geezer at Chelsea.
Surprise, surprise, professional footballers not being the best of sportsmen.
