East End Lady RL - my young niece had a spary sun lotion in her bag for the palace friendly. I did not realise that it was one otherwise I would not have let her bring it. However the officious steward would not even let us put it behind the bar area for safe keeping. Insisted it had to go in the bin. Apparently she might spray it in someone's eyes and then the club would be liable. I got very stroppy with the senior steward over this but did not do any good even when I asked what was going to happen when I sued the club if she got sunburnt because we could not take it in.
It was a bloody friendly match surely some commonsense could be applied.
They let me take my spray suntan lotion in on Saturday - obviously flustered by the deodorant. It's all about creating distractions!
