jimstaaa Classic all the plastic fans are out!! Don't have the points means you don't deserve a ticket!!

my friend is a student at leeds uni. He goes to the odd home game when hes back, and goes to a couple of away games up north when he can. In the last 3 years i have overtaken him massively on royalty points just because im lucky enough to be able to attend every home game and the odd away game. So does this make me more of a fan than him?!
No, but it makes him less of a supporter than someone like yourself who actually attends games and gives support.

The first time we played Man Utd there was a so called Reading fan who emigrated to Australia 10 years earlier but was apparently a die hard fan, He pleaded for a ticket and was going to fly over to the game and fly back..... well sorry, but you've given nothing to the club for 10 years because you chose to leave Reading and move to Australia, Your choice and you expect to fly back for a big game when you couldn't be arsed to fly back in our promotion season. Anyway, I believe the Evening Post sorted him out a ticket, no doubt at the expense of some poor soul like you or your mate who didn't quite have enough Royalty Points.

Real fans make the ultimate sacrifice and either commute to games or live in Reading or one of the shit hole nearby like Bracknell.

Condemning yourself to a lifetime in the Thames Valley in order to catch Reading v Man United seems a bit drastic though, no :?:

+1 to this! I've considered moving away from Reading a few times but every time it comes down to it I just love going to football too much to move away and not be able to attend all home games and as many away games as I possibly can.

Easily some of the best football matches and atmosphere I've been to have been against unexpected opposition like Fulham or somebody. The 'big team' games are frequently duds.

'Greed. And the clamour for tickets for them really makes you wonder which team people have actually come to see....

The big team, obviously. We can watch Reading every week.
