Deathy Erm, Spacey's origianal post didn't need any editing.
But you did edit out the relevant bits.
Deathy He admits to knowing nothing of Exeter and yet knows they'll get relegated next season.
I didn't say I know, I said I think.

I didn't say I know, I said I think.I cannot claim to know how their next season will go, but based on what happened to Brighton and Rotherham, I can guess that they may hit a glass ceiling.

Thaumagurist* I really am surprised by this. I've actually never been to see them play - purely because they're not Reading.
I think they'll come back down. Not easy for a club to stay up after two promotions. Just look at Brighton and Rotherham. Hope they do well though.

Spacey - i know you only "support" Liverpool (and follow Reading) but do you feel quite happy that Exeter went up? - surely living in the city for so long you must feel something for them, even if you dont support them. It must have been a great atmosphere in the city pubs Saturday night?

To be honest, I'm not overly bothered about Exeter. Much in the same way that I wasn't overly bothered about either teams in Manchester when I was at uni there.
I didn't really go into town on Saturday night, I just went to a couple of pubs just before the town centre and it was just business as usual.

handbags_harris I think, to be fair to Spacey, he has a valid point. More often than not, two promotions on the spin ends up in an instant relegation, and if not instant then more than likely within two seasons. Spacey's assumption and opinion on this thread are perfectly valid IMO. of course, I have the benefit of having seen their defensive abilities from set pieces against Morecambe a week and a half ago. If they defend like that in League 1, they will go down.

01/02 - Boston - relegated after a few campaigns- and now in Conf North
02/03 - Yeovil - Got to league 1 playoff final within 4 years. Doncaster - 14th Championship in 08/09
03/04 - Chester - relegated after five seasons. Shrewsbury - flirted with playoffs last 3 seasons
04/05 - Barnet - still in L2. Carlisle - won promotion in first season
05/06 - Accrington - solidly in League 2. Hereford - promoted to LEague 1 and back
06/07 - Dagenham - flirted with the playoffs. Morecambe (see Accrington)
