No idea of injuries/suspensions but he played ...

2006/7: 8
2007/8 12(1)
2008/9 27

Now, given that he was signed the moment it transpired Sonko was going to be out for a while, I'd say he was at least signed as a like-for-like replacement.

So we agree he was a replacement in some sense of the word.

He ended up staying here for 2 and a half seasons, making him a relatively long term replacement.

Focher
Royalee
Focher with backs against the wall winning 1-0 with 10 to go Doobs would be the first on the team sheet.

unfortunately that didnt happen much last season and he should have been nowhere near the starting line up.

You mean like against Charlton?

Hit me with another

Cardiff at home.

Countless goals which cost us points which he was at fault for too like Plymouth away, Blackpool away and so forth.

what on earth are you on ? My post said Duberry was only good in a team when your 1-0 up and hanging onto a lead, but last season we were not in that position at all . You have so far managed to give no examples of this and are now w4nking on about Cardiff at home.

Ideal Doobs was an honest hard working guy, he just wasn't a very good footballer.
Tactically inept, made rash decisions much like Titus Bramble, yet he was a very strong tackler, a very "defending" defender, basicly on the ball he was useless, but if he could stand still somewhere and head the ball out from his own area or tackle someone in knee-height, then he was doing something he was actually good at.
And honestly, was he really any worse than Kalifa Cissé? I'd rather have Doobs in our team..

Yep and Yep.

Could have been worse he could have just stood there berating his teamm8s while the opposition striker he was marking heads home his second unchallenged header of the afternoon.

LOL at BBC Quotes of the week:

"That was a bit harsh. It was good banter but I was nowhere near their scorer. I was chuckling inside."
Wycombe's Michael Duberry after fans from former club Leeds chanted "1-0 and it's Duberry's fault" when United took the lead.

Oh yeah I bet he was - poor b*stard.

It shows Royalee's dedication to the previous RFC regime that he persists with these type of threads.
