So are the guests of a hotel not allowed to leave take a stroll and then come back in?

Hugo Boss Is it really that big a deal having away fans in the home end?? I don't get what all the fuss is about someone who has bought a ticket legitimately watching his team play another team??
No not at all, as long as they apply the golden rule.....shut the f11ck up when your team scores.

Have applied the practice at such fun places like Layer Road and Priestfield (twice)

I concur, although when Sidwell put us 1-0 up at Ipswich opening day of the 03/04 season I went radio rental in one of the Ipswich ends 8)

I have been in countless home ends as an away fan. (Including the Kop, Stretford End, Stamford Bridge and Ewood Park to name a few)
Bottom line is that you keep your head down, show a little respect and DONT wear colours.

If you do disclose you get everything you deserve. (which may include a kicking or thrown out. I have come very close on a few occasions, but live to tell the tales.)

Its a sort of unwritten law when watching football in this country.

We must have been to the same games at Priestfield then as the same applies to me! Also went to the 0-0 on 1st Jan 2005, one of the dullest games i've ever seen. The first game in 02-03 i remember there was a goalmouth scramble and had we scored there may have been a good chance of getting kicked out as i was very close to jumping up... Sitting with away fans does make you more passionate i find, but generally it was never a problem, im not the most vocal fan
