Derby vs West Brom was the first play-off there, and at the time there was no way that the Club Wembley tickets could be sold on, so if any CW owners didn't turn up the seat was empty. Tere are 14,400 CW seats and another 2,000 exec box seats. That's the missing 15,000.

Irvinchangeyaname League 2 Final
2007 Bristol Rovers vs Shrewsbury 61,589
2008 Rochdale vs Stockport 35,715
2009 Gillinghamvs Shrewsbury 53,706
2010 Rotherham vs Shrewsbury 32,054

And I thought our playoff record was bad! They're also 2-0 down to Torquay from the first leg this season...

North Somerset Royal
Chaney if the rumours I here that the cheapest tickets are around 70 quid are true then I doubt it very much

The prices have already been published by the football League

http://www.football-league.co.uk/footba ... 34_2296575

£36 - £98 (Concessions £18 - £49)

This is how the five price tiers are allocated for the upcoming match against Switzerland -

Svlad Cjelli Yes - the number of hangers on who'd come out to experience a one-off occasion at the New Wembley on a Bank Holiday weekend would guarantee it.

Perhaps not many of them would have ever been to a Reading match before, but the hype and experience would ensure we'd sell the full allocation of about 37,000 that we'd get.

And considering that we sold virtually 20,000k for this semi-final and that was deemed a failure by many compared with what we could have sold, we only need two out of every three people who came on Friday to bring a mate nd we'd have sold it.

TBH I'm amazed the question is even being asked - the hype gets so massive that I don't think any Championship club has ever not sold their play-off final allocation allocation and wanted more.

Agreed.

But what people will have to realise is that there aren't going to be 37,000 die hard loyal Reading fans who will sing, chant and generate noise for the whole of the game in attendence, so I predict lots of post after the Final (obviously IF WE GET THERE) moaning about plastics, tourists etc etc .

Where does it say I am???

I'm merely pointing out that there will be posts of this nature after the Final; not that I will agree with the sentiment.

Sorry my mistake - you were just making a point of being the first to post something which you don't agree with. Fair enough.

By the way Red, I've got to say I like your new avatar very much. I've long been an advocate of the minimalist aesthetic and from straight red box to bold stripes, you have embraced it with gusto.

I think the best avatars express a new utopian ideal of spiritual harmony and order. It must advocate pure abstraction and universality by a reduction to the essentials of form and colour; simplified visual compositions in horizontal directions, and using only primary colours.

Well, after the first day we have sold 14000 and Swansea 8000 although Swansea shut their booking office queue down at 2 because they had 5 hours worth of people still queuing.

As people are now scrabbling around for the few remaining tickets, time to lock this thread.
