Hoop Blahworking class heroRiseley If only we had a strong working class voice on the subject of pricing policy instead of the middle class dominated STAR.
STAR is a democratic society and will represent its members. If the members were to say to the STAR committee that it wants to see cuts or individuals will boycott the ST renewal then action would ensue.
The CLub might well refuse. But STAR would - I believe - put their views to Mr M and his acolytes.
The working class always used to seize the initiative...... so how about an online petition arranged by someone who feels strongly as a starting point Mr Riseley - or stand for election to STAR?
STAR should actually be representing the needs of the Reading fans as a whole, not just those that want to pay for membership so that they can use the coach or visit the fans forum.
My guess is that they try so to do..... However, it is only possible for an organisation to represent views if they are aware of them. They will know much more of what members want as they get feedback. Also it is possible to survey members. And what if the members all expressed a desire for something even though it was known that no other fan wanted it? The Board would be constitutionally bound to represen the menbers' views [or to resign]. So really all fans should sign up to STAR.... or stop moaning.
