I always thought that more than just Celtic and Rangers would be ok in the Championship... Hearts trying hard to prove me wrong there.

Always nice to see the old firm get refs that aren't on their side in games. :D

Is this the nadir of Scottish club football, at least from the beyond-its-own-borders point of view?

Awfully lean times up and down Yorkshire, too --Hull* the only side from up there in the top flight over the last five seasons to date and none last season or this (unless I'm overlooking something and/or just can't read a damned map)

East Midlands too, but a much smaller sample size (what --Derby, Forest, County and Leicester about rounds out the notables, eh?)

Anyway  @ the OLOLd FiROFLMAOm

That's irreverent. If either club had the revenue of a PL club and the attraction of playing in a much better league....they would have a much better team and probably challenge the top four after a few years. Its a sad day when two of the oldest and most successful clubs in the world can't compete on the wage front with small championship clubs because the revenue is so dire up in the SPL. Back in the 90's both clubs had good European players...then the money came in.

Let's not also forget the distinguished performance of CeLOLtic last night. 1-0 down and down to 10 men in less than 2 minutes

As would most Championship clubs.

On the balance of the last few European results I have to say I am edging towards thinking Irish football > Scottish football

Middlesbrough.

Had to go and do a bit of learning before 6 AM --and by gum, it's true

The general point holds up if the fine details weren't quite over the line, and of course I gr8fully stand corrected

No, you guys wouldn't.

At best you guys would be just another Newcastle, well supported but not successful...at all.

Deluded if you think you'd be any bigger/better than that. And quite frankly, I'd rather not have the bigotry , that comes with you and Celtic, thanks.
