Maguire So Kesmo and Tredder have both been to Reading games?
There's a shock.
Libertine Yeah I am not a typical American bandwagon jumper...could have been one of the types which claim to support a team only because they're big, from large cities, they've won a bunch of trophies and have fan bases full of utter pcunts. Not my stylez...

TheMaraudingDog What was it about Readings history that attracted you? As an American Im guessing you appreciated the whoring of the grounds name.

TheMaraudingDog Wow![]()
Loyal Supporters? Reading were average 3,000 in the early 90's.
London isn't Readings neighbour, you should read up on their 'rivals'
The club had its heart ripped out when they left Elm Park.
I didn't think you were as clueless as that Tbf.

Libertine And it was those 3,000 who convinced me. Ok?![]()
And in terms of large urban neighbors...I wasn't talking about on the pitch. I was talking culturally. Besides the distance from London to Reading is 29 miles...which makes London geographically, and in its shadow, much closer to Reading than NYC or Boston is to Hartford. Hell London is closer to Reading than Hartford and Springfield Mass are. Hartford and Springfield are considered "twin (or sister) cities".
As far as Elm Park goes...I know it really devastated some fans that the team tore it down and built the Madjeski. And understand that sorrow. But if the supporters want the team to continue to be economically viable and moving forward in football's 21st century a new ground was needed.
And tbf I always knew you were as much as a pcunt as I thought...

What's that got to do with my 3 points?

My 3 points were in direct response to your reasons for supporting Reading. Then you spout a load of shite about shadows and sister cities. None of that is relevant in England, and Reading isn't a City (would have thought you'd have picked up on that in your research).
I think you should reconsider your choice of team m8 and just stick to an American one. Your lack of knowledge on RFC leaves a lot to be desired and lets be fair culturally you'd never fit in with English football supporters anyway
