Royalee Any topics people fancy reading about?

How about an article discussing the pro's and con's of seeding in tournaments...?

I was absolutely mystified as why Coppell wasn't in the top 5 FL managers considering his records at Palace, Brentford, Brighton and Reading. Then I remembered the author.

All I will say is this. Poll the fans of all 72 FL clubs as to who they would prefer; Paul Tisdale and Steve Coppell.

I will run through the Oracle naked if Paul Tisdale wins.

Every other confederation, bar South America (9 members iirc), has some form of pre-selection. I think that particular precedent has long since sailed, tbh.

I think random draws would be madness, but can't quite explain why.

Good read in general though - not everybody is meant to agree with it so leaving out Coppell isn't really a criticism of the blog.

I chose only to consider managers currently employed by Football League clubs as I otherwise could see a problem where you have managers across the globe who are out of work and could come into consideration, which would have made things much harder!

Because in the extreme case cited where all the minnows go in a group together they'd hate it as they exist to make a bit of cash when one of the big countries come to play. All the FAs would miss out on a ton of money and one of them would end up having to find the money to go to a world cup, which would bankrupt them. PLus considering idiots like Adrian Durham got the arse when New Zealand qualified for 2010 can you imagine the reaction when Andorra got in thanks to a lucky draw?

For the record I think you should try sending your entry about home grown players to UEFA.

I would love to watch Brazil 15 Andorra 0.

Did anyone enjoy the giants of Germany slam Saudi Arabia 8 zip in 2002? (He says rather Americanly).
