Reading Buses football buses changes

by Forbury Lion » 07 Aug 2010 00:10

Period tickets no longer valid, depending on zone this means those who with weekly tickets who previously used these on football buses will have to stump up £4 or £5 more per game for a return fare.

Alternatively, do what I plan to do tomorrow and catch regular buses which accept weekly tickets and walk from the basingstoke road to the stadium and back saving £4 a game.

I would say talk to the supporters trust, but they'll just do fuck all, as usual.

I am genuinely surprised that so few people actually take advantage of this. To me, it is a no brainer.

I do most home games. £3.80 busabout from home then change to No.6 down the Basingstoke Road. The return trip can sometimes be a bit slower but so what? Also theres a chip shop, newsagents and bookies right by the bus stop.

You forget that Reading is infested with the laziest inhabitants known to man. I used to get a Stagecoach bus, and there was one guy who always complained that the bus dropped off at the CostCo roundabout, rather than outside the West Stand.
