Joey Barton

by TBM » 02 Jan 2012 22:03

From Twitter today, from his good self:

Well feel for the officials, they've been conned. Linesman definitely never saw it, all he seen was Johnsons reaction. My head dosent move forward at all. Ridiculous decision seen 25 replays

Joey, remember the first game of the season

He barged a Norwich player as the attacked progressed, then Johnson and Barton both flung arms out, then Barton 'put his head' on Johnson's.

Idiot. Easy red card.

He's a massive spacker really. He's clearly in love with himself and thinks he's better than everyone, his tweets are oxf*rd cringey as well.

Don't think their board are that much brighter either....

http://uk.eurosport.yahoo.com/03012012/58/premier-league-qpr-chief-labels-refs-biased-blind.html

One of QPR's directors has landed himself in hot water after describing Premier League referees as "biased and blind".

Ruben Emir Gnanalingam could face FA sanctions after tweeting "F------ EPL refs are a big load of b-------! Biased and blind. Thank you for spoiling the game," in response to the red card received by Joey Barton against Norwich, according to the Daily Telegraph.

Barton had scored the opening goal, but was sent off after 34 minutes for apparently headbutting Norwich's Bradley Johnson.

Norwich went on to win the match, leading to furious reactions from Barton and QPR boss Neil Warnock.

"Well, feel for the officials. They've been conned," Barton wrote on Twitter, while Warnock also blasted Johnson for allegedly feigning staggering backwards: "To go back like he did was a disgrace. It's getting a fellow pro sent off."

Gnanalingam removed his offending tweet a few minutes after posting it, replacing it with a more sober assessment: "EPL should consider video evidence for red cards. The 4th official is there and can communicate with ref immediately."

Whether his change of tone will see him avoid an FA charge remains to be seen, but QPR owner Tony Fernandes was sent a warning letter earlier this season for tweeting that a referee was "blind" for missing "two clear handballs

I see Barton is at it again

But Barton said on Twitter that Warnock should "look in the mirror" if looking for someone to blame for his sacking.
"If I talked about Neil, he'd do well to get another job. Twitter cost him his job? I can think of a million other things," he tweeted.
"Lost his job and the guy is blaming everyone but himself! Embarrassing, time to look in the mirror mate," added Barton, who was made club captain by Warnock.
And he went on: "Looking forward to the game against Wigan tomorrow. First time in a while we actually have a plan and seem organised."

I'd suggest one of his biggest mistakes was signing our Joey and making him Captain.

That said he is right about Colin it's always someone else's fault.

Good thing is though......as much as people might think Barton is a kant. It's refreshing to see a footballer speak his mind instead of all the cliched bullsh1t 99.9% of footballers come out with. To me, there isn't much point in interviewing players because they just give the same old tiresome answers.

Fair point but does Barton need to comment on everything and its mostly an answer back to something or someone he doesn't like?

TBH They both have big personal egos so this was never going to work out too well.

agree but you have to give credit to the lads on the thread, they have given 150% and at times rode their luck but that is the sign of a great poster and at the end of the day they dug in deep when needed. I am sure they will regroup and then focus on the next thread because that is all you can do, focus on one thread at a time.

I've found myself warming to him over this....The only person in the media to speak out and say what we all know. Colin is a poor Premiership manager. Guts, drive and guile will only get you so far....his 1st Div, Prem record proves that. Admittedly Colin is also a massive twat! Has he signed up to be a ref in the Pl or FL yet....he can put that refs badge to good use!

I like barton and agree with him some of the time, if not most of the time. himself and mariob are the only thing that make the premier league interesting

Barton is a bellend, his performances have been lacklustre and his appraisal of NW is nothing short of disgraceful.

He's the club captain, and it his not his job to make a mockery of NW's achievements at QPR, we are in the Premiership because of NW, not Barton, his mouth runs off without his brain and the bloke is a grade A pcunt.

Perform on the pitch and then shout your gob off, if he put as much enthusiasm on the pitch as he does on Twitter, he'd be world pfucking class, he spends his time quoting other people from an encyclopedia, he's a gormless scouser who, no doubt, had a massive say in the demise of NW, not up to the job or not, he should have been given time and money, and Tony Fernandes is fast becoming another Flavio.

Barton should concentrate on being more Socrates the footballer and not the philosopher, because he's pfucking miles way from either of them

To be honest I'm just taking it one thread at a time.

When I heard Colin's comments and the only want to talk about positive things I knew it would be a red rag to a thick lobotomised scouse bull. Certainly more than element of truth to Joey's comments though. It just never is Colin's fault in Colin's head is it. Does he not think the results from the nine games leading up to him getting the bullet may not also have been a big factor?
