Not convinced with the inclusion of Lallana and Gerrard. They've been good but not great. Consistency issues for me.

Would probably have put David Silva in there ahead of Hazard for the grown-up players but no problem with Hazard amongst the young players.
Daniel Sturridge strikes me as being a bit old to be a young player.
Barkley hasn't played very much.

It's quite good that players who play bright, attractive attacking football are rewarded, rather than those who favour defensive shutouts...

Apart from score a lot of penalties, I don't think Gerrard has had that great a season (compared to previous ones where he's carried his team). He's done a good job in a remodelled Liverpool side, but nothing spectacular - Silva would've been a more deserved nominee, imo.

And how does Sturridge qualify as a young player?! He made his PL debut in 2007! I'm sure there are some criteria applied here, but they need to be looked at again.

IMO - Terry or Cahill definitely deserves to be in there ahead of Lallana or Gerrard and Hazard.

I wasn't trolling with suggesting Cahill and Terry. Both been immense all season, so much so, that the majority of knowledgeable fans would love them to be centre back pairing for the World Cup.
