No Fixed Abode Not convinced with the inclusion of Lallana and Gerrard. They've been good but not great. Consistency issues for me.
Shame John Terry, Gary Cahill and other great defenders this year have been over looked.

YateleyRoyal It's quite good that players who play bright, attractive attacking football are rewarded, rather than those who favour defensive shutouts...
Ginger Ninjas Apart from score a lot of penalties, I don't think Gerrard has had that great a season (compared to previous ones where he's carried his team). He's done a good job in a remodelled Liverpool side, but nothing spectacular - Silva would've been a more deserved nominee, imo.
And how does Sturridge qualify as a young player?! He made his PL debut in 2007! I'm sure there are some criteria applied here, but they need to be looked at again.

It would be 'quite' good if there were a defender or two and perhaps a goalkeeper included in the PFA nominations.

Why? They don't deserve to be there ahead of any of the actual nominations. Poor loves.
