The media is forever full of stuff about English managers, how they don't get a chance etc. and we ought to have one to manage the national team.
From these past few months 4 names come to mind (apart from the actual unproven England manage)r:-
Allardyce
Pardew
Howe
Dyche.
The first three above were the main contenders for the England job according to The Press.
Allardyce-got the job(we know what happened there) and making little difference at Crystal Palace.
Pardew-managed to turn Palace into a relegation side-looks like (and sounds like) a double-glazing salesman and nothing is ever his fault.
Howe-having spent oodles of money on new players ends up playing nearly all the players that have been with him for years (a kind of Sunday League manager who gets his mates to play)-a nice smile and always in a track-suit so coaching must be all that he does but appears to have no idea how to defend despite having been a centre-back himself.
Dyche-little club, little money,no voice, dresses like a bloke going to work in a provincial office and yet....is performing so much better than the 3 stooges and stands out head and shoulders above the others as currently the best English manager around.
Is it any wonder that owners go for foreign managers/ coaches?
