Might go to Wycombe v Brighton or *xford v Yeovil - anything would be better than watching Reading lose to Ipswich.

Blyth or AFC Telford v Lincoln

Moves Lincoln closer to the 3rd round and that home tie v Reading 8)

That is a brilliant draw...It just has to be a live game, although you can imagine the idiots at ITV picking Oldham v Leeds as the "big clash" of the ex-premiership clubs.

Bit of a pickle of a journey m8! I've been through Shrewsbury on the train en route to Wrexham, opening day of 98/99 and you'll have to go via Birmingham NS. The old ground was visible from the train station, I bet the new ground is a heck of a hike.....

It's a piece of piss to get to if you drive, but it's probably about a mile and a bit south of the old ground, so not such a pleasant walk, unless you really enjoy walking along arterial roads.

I've been there once, and after the charm of Gay Meadow, it's a quite depressingly characterless ground. It makes the Madejski stadium look like St Basil's Cathedral in comparison.

I was at the Hayes v Staines tie, so I'll watch how Staines get on with interest. Hayes, with a poor home record, had loads of the ball but hardly had a shot, let alone really looked like scoring. Strangely familiar.

A few near misses there. The ties I'd like to have seen:

Oxford City v Oxford United
MK Dons v Wimbledon
Cheltenham v Gloucester.
